<p>You may have changed the hostname on your VPS or upgraded cPanel, and now you see this error when attempting to use WHM or cPanel: "Invalid License File".</p> <p>You're seeing that error because your cPanel license is tied to the hostname on your server. <em><strong>Be careful if you change the hostname</strong></em>. <br /> <br /> To fix this:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Log in via SSH.</p> </li> <li> <p>Run the following command:</p> <p>/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt</p> </li> </ol> <p>That will update the license file with the new hostname. <strong>"PUT"</strong> error is Time/Date issue which will throw off the license, correcting the system Time/Date then running '/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt' will fix this type of error.</p>
